MEET THE ARTIST

Whether portraiture, still life, figure or abstract, my paintings are all strong in composition, color, form, and perspective. I consider myself as an adventurous / experimenting artist.

"Painting, to me, is a unique experience. Each work is a surprise and has its own personal and intuitive meaning. After brainstorming feelings and thoughts, each one of my paintings evolves freely." It's all illusion: the illusion of space, the illusion of mass, the illusion of light. The illusions go on and on, there is no limit to the number of illusions you can come up with. While working on one piece, another concept often emerges, and it is this constant, stimulating flow that causes my work to evolve. In this Abstract art I express my thoughts, recollection narrated. My abstract art shows the act or process of recalling past, present experiences, events, etc. A mental impression retained and revived.

"Painting is my passion, addiction and it keeps me balanced. I live to paint and paint to live. I want people to see and feel the energy in my paintings. Art is one of the ways in which we say I am alive and my life has meaning. Painting process incorporates a unique combination of spontaneity and control. Some times by pouring paints, I allow a certain amount of the painting to paint itself. The different media react with one another in unpredictable ways, giving chance a prominent role in creative process.
